START TIME DETAILS
7:00 AM - The official early start for Titan 101 riders who expect to ride below 11 MPH average speed on the full 101 mile course. This additional hour will give you time to make the rest stops and finish before the course closes. If you are a faster rider and start in this wave, the rest stops will not be open when you arrive.
8:00 AM - The Official Start of the Titan 101 - Riders who are riding the full course and will average 11 MPH or greater should start at 8 AM.
8:05 AM – The official early start for Sentinel 78 riders who expect to ride below a 11 MPH average speed on the 78 mile course. This additional hour will give you time to make the rest stops and finish before the course closes. If you are a faster rider and start in this wave, the rest stops will not be open when you arrive.
9:00 AM – The Official Start of the Sentinel 78 – Riders who are riding the full 78 mile course and will average 11 MPH or greater should start at 9 AM.
9:30 AM – The Official Start of the Nano 48 – This course still packs a punch but is more manageable for most riders. All riders who will ride the short course should start at 9:30 AM. The first 15 miles of the course has a few small climbs but is predominately down hill. Unless you are concerned that you will be riding well below 9 MPH average, please do not leave early or you will be at the Rest Stop 1 before it opens and they are ready.
Unofficial Start option for riders on the 78 or 101 mile courses only. You may leave as early as 7 AM on your own if you feel you’ll need the extra time to get to the finish on time because your average speed will be below below 9 MPH.
Please make sure you have picked up your packet and let folks at registration know you are departing early.
It is very likely that you will arrive at Rest Stop 1 before it is officially open. The Weston Market is next door and you can buy supplies if you need them. See the rest stop open and close times HERE for more information.
There will be no on course mechanical support until 8:15 AM. Please be sure you have the supplies and tools you need to be self supported.
Please don’t ride out alone. If you are leaving early it is recommended that you have multiple riders in your group for safety.
Food options
The Stratton Mountain area is in its shoulder season and a bit of a food dessert. We've got a few options to help if you find options. More info below. There are options in Manchester VT as well but that is a bit of a drive from the mountain.
Friday night at Stratton. If you will be looking for dinner on your best bet is to order in advance from The Family Kitchen & Pizzeria. Best bet is to give them a call with your order and a time you'd like to pickup. They are small and will be busy. (It is located on Rt. 30 at the bottom of the access road to Stratton). We'll have Harpoon and snacks at packet pickup too (but that isn't a meal)
Saturday Breakfast For those of you staying at the Black Bear Lodge, the hotel will have a simple Continental breakfast in the lobby restaurant for you. To supplement that, and for anyone else wanting an amazing breakfast burrito, we have arranged with The Spicy Spoke, our After-Party food truck, to provide egg burritos in the morning but you MUST pre-order by Thursday May 7th at noon! They say they make extras but if you don't reorder they is no guarantee you get one! here. There aren't other restaurants or coffee shops open at the resort, so plan ahead!
Use the links below to pre-order your power breakfast from Spicy Spoke!
Saturday B.Burrito (no meat) $10.00 - Local egg scramble, crispy organic potato, spinach, Green Mountain magic sauce, organic flour tortilla.
